Our ESR7 Nicoletta Cascelli has recently published a paper regarding the recombinant production of PHAs from renewable sources through a separate hydrolysis and fermentation and simultaneous saccharification and fermentation approaches using a new fungal hydrolitic cocktail of enzymes (inulinases). Furthermore, she has been involved in writing a chapter about biopolymers and PHAs in particular from renewables. These great publications are based on the work she has done in collaboration with our PI Giovanni Sannia during her Master thesis at the Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II. Check it out:
