Publication in RSC Advances

Chiara Danielli (ESR11) just published her first full research article in RSC Advances. She investigated the covalent immobilization of enzymes on a methacrylic carrier using DFF (2,5-diformylfuran) as a crosslinker, and compared DFF with the traditional crosslinker glutaraldehyde. The two molecules were also compared in respect to their toxicity in marine environment. The research work was done in collaboration between the University of Trieste (Trieste, Italy) and ViaZym B.V. (Delft, the Netherlands).
